About Thomson Builders
After several years working for high end home builders in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, I founded Thomson Builders in 2019. Our company works on dream projects, big and small, and is committed to delivering clients a product defined by:

- a fair price.
We provide the full range of contracting services, from smaller home renovations, including kitchen and baths and decks, to larger additions and new home construction. We begin our process by meeting with clients to assess goals, time lines and budget. After the project has commenced, we regularly engage clients on mutually agreed intervals to ensure the project is meeting expectations and timelines. Our company cares deeply about our environment and sustainable building and can advise clients with respect to the latest developments with green buildings.
Duff Thomson, Owner & President
Duff Thomson began his carpentry career in high school and has work in the home building industry for nearly a decade. After graduating from University of New Hampshire with a degree in politics and business, Duff enrolled in Boston’s prestigious North Bennet Street School, which was founded in 1879 and offers programs in Carpentry, Cabinet, and Furniture Making, among others. Duff completed the school’s intensive one-year cabinet making and carpentry programs and worked for several companies as a lead and finish carpenter, high-end remodeling and new home construction projects before founding Thomson Builders.

Will Marvin, Vice President
Will's interest in construction was born from a young age, as his childhood years were filled with Tonka Trucks and backyard "job sites". That fascination continued in high school, with Will filling his summers painting, or working as a caretaker for a large horse farm. In college, that seed of admiration for the industry finally bloomed, when Will took a job before junior year working for a small contracting firm in Bow, NH. Upon graduating in 2016 with a joint degree in Economics and Business, Will returned to the firm for a full-time job both on-site, and as the business manager.
From 2016-19, Will honed his skills in a variety of disciplines including framing, flooring, and both interior and exterior carpentry. During this time he also managed the day-to-day operations of the company by meeting with estimating for clients, tracking project budgets as well as overall financials of the company, and looking for emerging business opportunities. Will left the company in 2019 to engage in the chance to start Thomson Builders. In his free time Will enjoys playing golf, hunting, and spending time with friends and family (especially the dog)!
